Manitoulin Expositor - Community-based wind farms offer an altemative to corporate Island projects


1) Nine thousand, not 900 people die prematurely every year from smog in Ontario, according to the Ontario Medical Association. It is a stunning number and contrasts with the number of people who say they get sick from wind turbines.

2) Setbacks are required for major highways and airports but they are not nearly as stringent as those for wind turbines.
