The Ontario Ministry of International Trade in partnership with the Canadian Embassy in Abu Dhabi will be organizing an Ontario Sustainability and Renewable Energy mission to WFES 2019, which will be held in Abu Dhabi, UAE, January 14-17, 2019.

The annual World Future Energy Summit (WFES), the largest sustainability gathering in the Middle East & Africa, is the main renewable energy event in the region, foremost platform dedicated to the innovation and digitalisation trends that are key to transformation in the global energy mix. WFES welcomed more than 33,000 attendees from 175 countries in 2018, and facilitated more than 8,600 meetings between exhibitors and registered buyers, enabling new partnerships and business opportunities.

For more information, you can visit WFES website at https://www.worldfutureenergysummit.com/#/

In 2018, WFES demonstrated its powerful global reach, connecting businesses and innovators from around the world with regional opportunities which led to OVER USD 15B worth of projects and funding announced at the event.

WFES offers an exclusive networking program called Sustainability Business Connect. The program is a free online matchmaking platform that encourages meetings between exhibitors, visitors and buyers. The online matchmaking tool generates meeting recommendations based on participant's objectives, maximizing relevant networking opportunities. During WFES 2018, Sustainability Business Connect facilitated more than 10,000 meetings.

The sustainability and renewable energy sector is specified as a priority area for the Middle East/ GCC and Africa countries governments and the private sectors, due to climatic conditions, high energy usage, increasing commitment of governments and new private entrants as solution providers.

The purpose of the mission is to help Ontario companies promote their products and services, meet key business players, governmental stakeholders and business associations from cleantech sector.

The Ontario government has booked 30 sqm for the Ontario pavilion in the Canada section to accommodate up to 6Ontario companies in an open-concept booth. In addition to your exhibit at WFES 2019, the mission program in Abu Dhabi will incorporate a breakfast briefing, pre-arranged B2B meetings, and networking reception.
