ROBERT MANCINI, B.A.Sc., P.Eng. (Mech.)
Robert Mancini ‘s field of practice has been in the design of building energy systems (HVAC & Electrical). In the early 1980’s he turned his attention to the design of geothermal heat pump systems (GHPs). He began developing and designing commercial/institutional GHPs in the early 1980s. There were no design guides, Mr. Mancini had to develop the application. He has designed hundreds of highly efficient geo systems, in fact three decades later these Geo buildings would meet current criteria for high efficiency buildings. His geo projects are practically all-over North America as well as one in China. This his 30th year on the ANSI/CSA/IGSHPA C448 Geo task force that developed the only geothermal standard in existence. Now a bi-national GHP standard. In 2012 Robert refocused his firm towards the engineering of Net Zero Energy and Net Zero Carbon buildings. Three NZE/NZC buildings have been designed to date.
